Before you ask
Questions, answered.
Your video is uploaded, analysed, and kept in your account so you can look back at it against later attempts. It is never shown to anyone else and never appears in any public feed — there is no feed. You can delete an individual video or your entire account whenever you like, and deleting removes the file, not just the link to it. If you would rather not keep anything, delete the video straight after you have read the report.
A phone and something to lean it against. No wearables, no sensors, no straps, no gym subscription. Film from the side, full body in frame, decent light — that is the whole setup.
It is strongest on the big barbell and dumbbell lifts — squats, deadlifts, presses, rows — because those have well understood joint angles and that is where beginners get hurt. It will give you something useful on most gym movements. It is not built for classes, running or swimming, and we would rather tell you that than pretend.
It is built for the person who has been going for a few months, has moved past the machines, and has nobody to tell them whether what they are doing is right. Experienced lifters get value from the measurement side, because textbook angles are wrong for plenty of experienced bodies too. If you have never set foot in a gym, start with the calibration and one bodyweight squat.
Most of them score you against a fixed ideal — hit 45 degrees, get a tick. Bodies are not built to one specification. If your legs are long relative to your back, a 52 degree torso lean can be correct posture for you, and an app that flags it is coaching you into a worse squat while telling you that you improved. Formerly measures your proportions first and sets your thresholds from them. Safety limits are the exception and are never personalised away.
Every report carries a confidence score alongside the form score, and the two are separate on purpose. A dark, blurry or badly angled clip lowers the confidence, not your form score — you should never be marked down for bad lighting. Each cue also cites the frame it came from, so you can look at that frame and judge for yourself whether we read it right. If we cannot see something clearly, we say so rather than guessing.
It flags the things it can see — knee travel, back rounding, range of motion — against limits that stay fixed for everyone. It is a coaching tool, not a physiotherapist, and it cannot see pain, fatigue, an old injury or what is happening inside a joint. If something hurts, stop and speak to a professional. Our injury disclaimer sets this out in full.
We are not committing to a date we might miss. The first twenty five people on the waiting list get in before anyone else, and everyone on the list hears from us twice before launch. That is the whole plan.
There will be a free tier that is genuinely usable, and a paid plan for people who want to check their form often. We have not fixed the price yet, and nobody on the waiting list will be charged for anything without choosing to.
